ASHKAN HONARVAR // mixed media collages

 We love these collages by artist Ashkan Hanarvar in collaboration with stylist Kathi Kauder and photographer Sabrina Theissen. What we love most is the fact that the clothes still manage to stand out thorough the controlled chaos of the other objects. 


" For these mixed media collages Ashkan Honarvar used Vanitas symbols in a search for the equilibrium between life and death. The woman depicted features different animal eyes, flowers and other body parts. These collage series was published in I Love You Magazine."

GANT // CARDINAL SWEATER

We love this fun post "MY WEEK OF DRESSING DANGEROUSLY" by Bret Begun of Park & Bond about pushing one's sartorial boundaries. Begun says it perfectly; "Men’s fashion, as the saying goes, is an evolution, not a revolution". For a whole week, he ventures into unfamiliar territory using pieces that are a bit more fashion-forward than what he's used to. It's a really fun read, though I question the sartorial "danger" level of some of the choices.



Bret took on the "challenge" of working this (awesome) Cardinal Sweater by Gant into his wardrobe. A modern take on the classic "ironic" Christmas sweater; its fitted nature makes it less Mr. Rogers and a little more Ryan Gosling. Click here to see how he did.
