LE STYLE EST DANS LA RUE

George and Jane was recently featured on "Le Style est Dans la Rue", a new show on the Mademoiselle (MLLE) network. The show features two stylish ladies from Montreal and challenges them to shop for 2 outfits for different occasions at 2 different stores with a 500$ budget. One of our favorite customers Lise Michaud chose our store to shop, and walked away with 2 great pieces!

Lise bought Funktional's transformable Galaxy dress(sold out) for her "blind date" look and Gestus' printed Tunic(on sale!) for her "housewarming" look.

Unfortunately, Lise's episode has already aired but you can watch "Le Style est dans la Rue" on Monday-Wednesdays at 7:30pm, Wednesdays-Fridays at 10:30 and Friday-Sunday at 9am.

KATE MOSS // ELEVEN PARIS

Kate Moss recently married her rockstar boyfriend Jamie Hince from the Kills (Congrats!), in a beautiful Zelda Fitzgerald inspired, John Galliano designed dress.

Don't worry boys, you can still have a piece of Kate Moss even though
 she's a married woman now, through Eleven Paris' super soft tee.

ONE TEASPOON // Eagle Shadow Bikini

L.A. based blogger Olivia Lo ( Lust For Life ) effortlessly tries out one of spring's hottest trends: swimwear as outerwear. In other words, wearing your bikini even if you have no intentions of going to the beach. Swimwear has become more and more intricate and detailed in recent years, so why not show it off?

One Teaspoon's Eagle Shadow bikini is the perfect option with it's cage detail;
the perfect nod to the omnipresent harnesses all over the runways this season.

Try it out for yourself!

Rainy Days

By the looks of things, we may be in for a wet summer. Dressing for the rain can present a bit of a challenge, particularly when you want to mix style and practicality, but it can also be a lot of fun. We have a couple of pieces in the shop that we suggest for those maybe/definitely rainy days.

Swedish label Filippa K has a great fitted utility jacket for women this season, a classic style that will carry over well into fall.

For men, this thin nylon parka by Cold Method from the Netherlands is lightweight enough to wear in the heat and humidity, and the many pockets are an added bonus.

In terms of footwear, we have wide selection of styles and colours from the unisex label Native. These shoes are fun and comfortable, and gaurenteed to make it through whatever weather the day brings.

All of the above items (plus many many more!) have been marked down, and you can shop online here or come by the store and check them out. We'll be here rain or shine.
